Jansons was hired as the erection contractor by Covanta Energy for the erection of the 277′ x 12′ dual-wall steel stack at their Oahu Plant, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Project highlights included:

  • Erection of a 277’ x 12’ dual-wall steel stack
  • Due to site congestion, Jansons worked in cooperation with the General Contractor in sharing the Manitowoc 18000
  • High-wind conditions on the island required Jansons to perform night-time lifts on some sections
  • Included installation of platforms and Tuned Mass Damper
  • Project bonded by Jansons
