Although the 250′ tall radial brick chimneys at the original Hersey Chocolate factory in Hersey, PA were no longer in service, the iconic structures are considered a valuable part of the Hersey Company’s history and therefore they contracted Jansons to perform a comprehensive rehabilitation of the two chimneys. Project highlights included:

  • Extensive repointing of exterior mortar joints
  • The removal and replacement of spalled and crack brick
  • Reinforcing band installation
  • Installation of a New Chimney Cover
  • Upgrades to the Lightning Protection System
  • Cleaning the exterior surface of the masonry structures
